We love to see the excitement growing for the SURF! Busway, but please keep off of it!

The truth is that despite how inviting it looks, the road is still an active construction site and trespassing on it is dangerous.

Help us keep you safe and stay off the busway!

Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) will operate a “Saturday” schedule on the MST ‘Observed’ Independence Day, Friday, July 3, 2026. The following bus lines will be in service:

✅2 Monterey – Pacific Grove via David

✅8 Monterey – CHOMP
✅18 Sand City – Marina via Monterey Rd.
✅20 Monterey – Salinas
✅23 Salinas – King City
✅24 Crossroads Carmel – Carmel Valley
✅28 Watsonville via Castroville
✅29 Watsonville via Prunedale
✅41 Salinas – Alisal – Northridge
✅42 Salinas – Alisal
✅43 Salinas – South Main via SVH
✅44 Salinas – Westridge
✅45 Salinas – East Market/Creekbridge
✅46 Salinas – Natividad
✅49 Salinas – Santa Rita via North Main
✅59 Salinas – Gilroy
✅61 Salinas – VA-DOD Clinic

Please note: Line 59 (Salinas – Gilroy) will operate on this ‘observed’ holiday (Friday, July 3), on a weekday schedule.

Regular bus service on all lines will resume on Saturday, July 4th. Customer service windows in Salinas and Monterey will remain open on Friday, July 3 from 8am-5pm. The customer service window at the Marina Transit Exchange and the administration offices at 19 Upper Ragsdale Drive will be closed, reopening Monday, July 6th.
