Nuclear Plant goes Online With Kurz

Watts Bar Nuclear Plant near Spring City, TN
brought Unit 2 online last month, doubling the
capacity of the power plant to about 1.3 million
homes.
Kurz designed and manufactured a set of Isokinetic
Sampling Systems for the ventilation exhausts that
are designed to ensure no contaminants are
exhausted into the local environment. The
Isokinetic Sampling Systems include multipoint
K-BAR flow meters and particulate sampling rakes,
valves, pumps and filtration units.
Watts Bar unit 2 initiated commercial operation in
May 2016 with the new sampling systems. Kurz is
proud of the design, quality, and reliability its
products play in the commercial success of TVA's
effort to increase America's energy capabilities.
