Monterey CERT Basic Training on Saturday February 7th, 2026.

On Sunday, January 25th at approximately 1045 hrs., Monterey CERT members monitored a dispatch for a reported structure fire in the 400 Blk. of Dela Vina Street in Monterey. Due to the nature of the dispatch, and with a witness report of heavy smoke showing from a CERT member, CERT initiated a Genasys Alert for members to respond to the incident. A total of 29 CERT members responded and immediately relieved Police officers from their traffic control stations. As soon as the CERT trailer arrived, we established a full Firefighter Rehab station on the front ramp of Fire Station 13 per directions from the Fire I.C. CERT members remained on scene until 1430 hours.
