Today is , and I’ve been receiving a lot of reminders lately of a specific performance which happened 5 years ago.
This performance was a completely communal effort by a cast whose closeness could never be replicated.
Together we reached into the darkness to find the light exposing our humanity, along with all of its beauties and flaws. That’s the true expression of theatre.
It’s currently very difficult to find ways to be this close with others. However, if we find ways to connect through the darkness, we will stand together in the light at the end.
I feel an artistic burst of humanity coming through the hard times, and I hope to reconnect with you all soon.
