Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day to my grandmothers who raised me.

Both of them were unapologetically tough, strict, loving, and determined to keep me from becoming a product of the streets I came from.

Their discipline was hard, probably harder than what many would understand today. But I know their intention was survival, protection, and preparing me for life.

They didn’t always have soft words, but they had strong love. And because of that love, I learned respect, resilience, responsibility, and how to keep pushing no matter what.

No regrets. Just gratitude.
