It’s been a few weeks since Fort Caswell. The tan lines are fading. Summer has gotten busy.

But here’s the question…

How’s your walk with Jesus?

Camp was never meant to be the finish line, it was meant to be the starting point. The worship, friendships, Bible studies, and decisions you made matter most in the days and weeks after you come home.

Have you continued spending time in God’s Word?

Have you been talking with God in prayer?

Are you living differently because of what He taught you?

Spiritual growth doesn’t happen during one week at camp, it happens through faithfully following Jesus every single day.

Join us tonight as we encourage one another to keep growing, keep trusting, and keep shining for Christ.

Do you remember going to Vacation Bible School as a child? Some of my favorite summer memories were made at VBS! There was music, crafts, missions, snacks, and of course… everyone’s favorite… outside games!

But somewhere in the middle of all that fun, God was planting seeds. Every Bible story, every song, and every conversation helped build the foundation of my faith.

Next week is Vacation Bible School at Lakeview and we would love for every child to experience the same opportunity. If you have children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or neighborhood kids, invite them to come! Even if your family regularly attends another church, you are welcome to join us for a fun-filled week centered on Jesus!

You never know how God might use one week of VBS to change a child’s life forever.

As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy as Americans this Independence Day weekend, let’s remember one of our greatest blessings, the freedom to worship God openly!

We have the freedom to gather together as believers. We have the freedom to share our faith without fear. We have the freedom to boldly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord.

These freedoms are precious gifts that many around the world do not have. Let’s never take them for granted.

What better way to celebrate our freedom than by gathering with God’s people this Sunday?
