Direct Support Worker Field Support

Fulltime as needed:
Open availability for any shift (7am-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a or 7a-7p, 7p-7a on weekends)

DSW or related experience required. CMA (Certified Medication Administration) Certification a plus, ability to obtain required. Open availability to work any shift weekdays and/or weekends.

The DSW/SHSA's field support responsibility is to recognize that men and women with intellectual disabilities can learn and enjoy growing in skill and knowledge and that they can live their lives as full community citizens with fully vested rights when provided the correct support.

To provide support for adults with intellectual disabilities by :

Assuring the health and safety of those supported;

Implement, document, and report on participant’s plan of care.

Read, comprehend and implement program guidelines and standards, write with clarity;

Assist with and teach health, safety, personal care, domestic and social skills;

Model behavior and interactions appropriate to community standards;

Transport a person in the worker’s vehicle.
