Our moldings and stair parts are commonly installed in new home installations and home remodels. This being the case, it is highly likely that painting will be done at the same time, and that the moldings or stair parts will need to be masked with painters tape.

It is important to note that 3M, the makers of the most common blue painter's tape, DO NOT recommend the use of blue tape on recently finished wood products. Instead, both 3M and Atlas agree that either GREEN or ORANGE painter's tape are the best choice. Didn't know there was a green or orange tape? Check out 3M's tape selector chart:
