Scenario: 70kts on takeoff. You hear a loud “Bang” outside the plane and feel yaw. Quick glance at engine and everything green. Do you abort takeoff or rotate and climb away?

You just blew a tire. Rejecting the takeoff is the natural reaction, but may be the worse thing you can do: heavy, fast, less runway remaining and directional control and braking problems. Could be tough to stay on the runway.

Better plan to continue takeoff, find another airplane to look you over, burn down fuel, then land on a wide, long runway with blown tire on centerline. Arrange with someone on ground ahead of time to have a tug waiting to pull you clear so runway doesn’t close down for long.
