In Louisiana, four Black men were shot to death in 1960. The white shooter claimed self-defense. - Louisiana Illuminator Robert Fulle shot five of his Black employees with a shotgun, killing four, in 1960 in the Monroe area. He was also a member the Original Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and eventually become the statewide Klan leader.
