Berkeley Middle School - SRO

Attention! Traffic Pattern Change for Berkeley Middle School: Effective 08/17/2021

In order to minimize the impact on the commuters who are not going to the middle school the Moncks Corner Police Department, in coordination with Berkeley Middle School Bucks , have changed the traffic pattern for pick-up and drop-off.

From 7:00am to 8:15am and 2:30pm to 4:00pm there will be no left turns made into BMS from Rt 17a. If you are coming in from North Hwy 52 continue past 17a and take a right onto Wall St. Do not utilize Grace St for pick-up/drop-off. Grace St is strictly for School Buses during this time. Once on Wall St you will then turn right onto Cooper St which will bring you back out to 17a and the line will continue from there.

If you normally arrive at the school coming from the south on 17a your traffic pattern will not change.

Do not block the intersection of any streets or the entrances to the school. First and foremost, that is the law. Second, blocking an intersection, especially the ones highlighted on the map, will delay the buses from getting in and out of the school and back to their routes.


Lastly, we ask that all drivers be kind and courteous to those around them. Remember all the other cars will have someone else’s child in them too.
