Berkeley County Stormwater Management Program
06/10/2025
Berkeley County Roads & Bridges Stormwater crews worked late into the evening hours on Friday, June 6, 2025 to recover approximately 5 to 7 gallons of oil that was dumped into a stormwater drain. Incidents such as these can negatively impact the environment and the economy. They can also be extremely harmful to marine life, wildlife, and human health. Stormwater does not go through treatment or filtration. Therefore, it is critical to keep stormwater free of pollutants. Please do your part in keeping our waterways clean. If you see pollutants being discarded into storm drains or ditches please report it to Berkeley County.
If you suspect someone is discharging a pollutant into stormwater drains or ditches, please call (843) 719-4195 or email [email protected]
if possible, include any the following:
* Specific location
* Date/Time
* Type of Pollutant
* Description of violator, license plate, vehicle logos, etc.
* Your contact information
* Pictures/videos of the incident
