Did you know Vitamin D levels and Dementia are connected?
One of the leading reasons for death and disability is Dementia. Currently, about 48 million people in the world suffer from dementia and this number is predicted to increase 2.73 times by 2050. Almost 10 million people advance to dementia each year. It is an incurable neurodegenerative disease.
A Study: ‘Link Between Vitamin D and Dementia Risk Confirmed’ - found that people with low levels of vitamin D had a 53 percent increased risk of developing dementia and those who were severely deficient had a 125 percent increased risk compared to participants with normal levels of vitamin D.
It is estimated that 40-75% of all adults are vitamin D deficient.
