Are your employees confident they'll reach retirement?

New research from Voya Investment Management shows a clear gap: 71% of employees invested in target date funds (TDFs) feel confident they'll hit their retirement goals — compared to just 58% of those who aren't.

And it's not just confidence. Over 90% of TDF investors say it reduces the stress of retirement planning.

For plan sponsors, this is a meaningful data point. When employees feel less stressed and more on track, it shows up in engagement, focus, and retention.

If your plan lineup includes TDFs but participation is low, it may be worth looking at how they're being communicated — or whether auto-enrollment is working as intended.
