STANISLAUS AUDUBON FIELD TRIP
Point Reyes National Seashore
Leades: John Harris and Sal Salerno
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5 9:00 a.m. - ALL DAY
Point Reyes is noted for uncommon birds, especially during fall migration, when off-course migrants show up at several locations on the Outer Point. Specific stops will depend on what has been reported in the days prior to the trip. Meet at Bear Valley Visitor Center (1 Bear Valley Visitor Center Access Road, Point Reyes Station) at 9:00 A.M.
This is an ALL DAY trip, so bring water and a lunch. It can be foggy or windy on the Outer Point, so be prepared for variable weather conditions. Please RSVP to John Harris at [email protected], and let us know if you are interested in carpooling. Carpoolers will likely meet in front of the Riverbank Target.

UPCOMING STANISLAUS AUDUBON FIELD TRIP!
Knights Ferry Recreation Area Leader: CeCe Hurst
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2025 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Celebrate Biodiversity Day with us on a guided nature walk through the beautiful Knights Ferry Recreation Area! We’ll be using the iNaturalist app to observe and document the incredible plants, animals, and fungi that call this area home. (NOTE: BRING YOUR BINOCULARS, AS THERE WILL BE SOME BIRDWATCHING, TOO!)
Whether you’re brand new to iNaturalist or a seasoned user, this event is for you. Your guide will teach you how to use the app effectively and share knowledge about the local wildlife we’re likely to encounter. All ages welcome! This is a family-friendly event and a great way to get kids curious about nature and science. Meet at the recreation area parking lot in front of the Visitor Center. There is a day use fee of $10 (or USE your National Parks/America the Beautiful pass). A restroom is available at the Visitor Center.
For more information, contact CeCe at [email protected]
