🐝 UPDATE: we have a tree hive it appears we’ve adopted. Per the experts at this time of the year, if we try to move it - it is so full of honey that we will drown a zillions bees, probably kill the queen and it would be a disaster!!! 🐝 are in overtime production mode for winter. He said it is perfectly safe in the tree, they have constructed the hive within the fork in the branch very well and because it is facing west and will get sun thru winter/colder months they will all prosper. They built with a purpose - lots of lavender & blossoms in mine & neighbors’ yards. It’s 3 basketballs in size not 2 as I thought & he said it would take a hurricane to get it out of that tree and we don’t have those here. it appears I’m now auntie to a bazillion 🐝s with more every day.
