Scuba Steve’s Tech Tips
How Close Is Too Close?
This one was too close.
A customer came in because his regulator was breathing wet. Every breath he took had water in it. After taking the regulator apart and doing a closer inspection, we found the problem. A sea urchin spine was stuck inside the regulator.
Getting close to marine life can be exciting, but sometimes a little too close can cause problems for both your equipment and the critters. Good buoyancy control and proper trim help you enjoy the underwater world without bumping into things you shouldn’t.
If you’d like to get better at moving around reefs and marine life, ask us about buoyancy training. Better buoyancy means fewer accidental encounters, less wear and tear on your gear, and less impact on the environment.
It’s a win win for your equipment and the critters. Happy diving! -Scuba Steve

Mission: Possible. 🕵️♂️🍗
We’ve got a serious situation here: 55 tiny chickens have escaped and are currently hiding all over the shop. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to find one of them.
Bring a chicken to the register, and we’ll trade you for a lollipop. It’s the ultimate high-stakes barter system. 🍭
Drop in, start hunting, and let’s see who has the best eagle eyes (or chicken eyes?).
