My mentor, teacher, director, mi profe — Fernando Bujones. He left us in 2005, but I feel his presence every single day, especially when I’m in the studio.

He shaped my life and the lives of so many who had the privilege to work close to him. I am forever honored to have known and learned from one of the greatest dancers of the 20th century.

I wish you were here to see all that your dancers have accomplished and continue to do — your legacy lives on in each of us.

Maestro, I miss you deeply. Keep dancing wherever you are. 💫
