Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator (GPS Experience Required)

Company Overview:
We are a growing heavy civil construction company specializing in earthwork, site development, and underground utilities. Our team focuses on moving dirt efficiently and safely while delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator with strong GPS machine control knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and capable of operating a variety of heavy equipment to complete grading, excavation, and utility installation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, graders, and loaders

Perform mass grading, fine grading, and excavation work

Utilize GPS machine control systems (Topcon, Trimble, or similar)

Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes

Assist with underground utility installation (water, sewer, storm drain)

Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to meet project deadlines

Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in civil/site work

Proven experience with GPS machine control systems

Ability to read and understand construction plans and elevations

Experience in grading and utility work preferred

Strong work ethic and reliability

Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)

Work Environment:

Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions

Physically demanding work environment

Full-time position with potential overtime
