Brandi Suther
We have been through so many phases. Blonde… blonder… blondest… dark… dark with a bold money piece… and always back to blonde of course.
For a while there… I would know what she was doing based on what we did last time. If it was blonde.. we were going dark. If it was dark.. we were going blonde.
She definitely knows how to keep a girl on her toes.
This is our second time doing copper on her and if I do say so myself… this color was made for her!!! 😍

If you want to maintain your bright blonde in between salon visits.. you no longer have the luxury of not using a heat protectant. Sorry 🤷🏻♀️
Hear me out..
Your hair lifts yellow. Period!! And that’s if you’re lucky. In some cases.. it only gets to a yellow/orange. If we’re working with old dark color, it may only lift to a red/orange during the first session. 💀
The point is… everyone lifts warm and almost no one can get away without a glaze after their lightening session.
What’s the glaze? We apply this after a lightening service to neutralize any unwanted tones. In this scenario.. the unwanted tone was yellow and we were going for more of a white blonde.
Easy peasy right? Apply the glaze and move on with life. Beautiful bright blonde! 🤩
Here’s the problem. If you are not using a heat protectant, the heat from your hot tools are stripping away all of the tones and revealing the natural lift. This is where the brass live.
This is typically when you reach for the purple shampoo to correct. The thing about purple shampoo… it’s meant to maintain, NOT correct. That was the glazes job and you already stripped it out with your hot tools.
Moral of the story: Use your heat protectant!! Your blonde will thank you 😉
