Our Houston team had a great time participating in the Ashe Houston 8th Annual Client Connection Roundtable.

It was an excellent opportunity to engage directly with transportation and infrastructure leaders from across the region to discuss upcoming projects and infrastructure needs. We always value the chance to collaborate with industry peers and regional agencies to help shape the future of Texas infrastructure.

When an industry award is named after you, you know you've made an impact!

We want to give a massive congratulations to Thompson’s very own Bobby Mosely on the introduction of the (MDOT's) new statewide honor: The Bobby Moseley Award. Named in his honor, this award will now be given annually to the highest-performing, safest, and best-run MDOT facility in the state.

From his time as State Maintenance Engineer to his impactful work leading environmental compliance audits with Thompson, Bobby has dedicated his career to lifting up the transportation industry and keeping workers safe.

Thank you, Bobby, for being a true leader, a mentor, and a friend to so many.

Happy International Women in Engineering Day!

We recently teamed up with the City of Foley Municipal Government in Baldwin County, Alabama, to give local students from the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Junior Ambassador program an inside look at how municipal engineering works in the field.

Our team led the students into the field to the active construction site of the E. Michigan Avenue Regional Detention Pond to see how a major infrastructure project moves from blueprints to reality. We walked them through the engineering design process and gave them a real-world look at how civil engineers can help manage heavy storm runoff and improve neighborhood flood resilience.

This project is a prime example of how multiple phases and state funding sources come together to build a safer, more resilient community. It was a privilege to share the real-world impact of civil engineering with the community's future workforce.
