The USS Enterprise (CVN 65) Aircraft Carrier, notable for being the largest US naval ship ever built and the world's first nuclear aircraft carrier, is en route to Mobile. It was commissioned in 1961 and decommissioned in 2017.
The ship's dismantlement, recycling, and disposal will take place where the SS United States is currently moored, marking a historic moment as the largest ship dismantlement project for the US Navy.
The USS Enterprise (CVN 80) is currently in production at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard in Newport News, Virginia.
