Holiness does not belong only to sanctuaries or polished places.

It can be found in alleyways and bus stops, in worn hands and weary voices, and in small acts of kindness between strangers. This chalice lighting by Craig Rowland invites us to notice the sacred in the places—and people—we may have been taught to overlook.

May we remember that dignity, care, and belonging can make holy ground anywhere, and may we learn to recognize divinity in the complicated, imperfect places where life unfolds.
