Wonderful family friendly opportunity to be a part of something fun this Saturday.

A new “Welcome to Mobile” community mural is going to be painted this coming Saturday at 714 Dauphin Street, which is located at the intersection of Scott Street. No experience is necessary to help create this community mural as it will be ‘paint by number’ and have an outline. Families and children are invited to stop by and contribute to the mural any time from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 2.

The mural was designed by McGill-Toolen Senior Sarah Beth Bexley as part of her service project for Youth Leadership Mobile. To fund this project, Sarah Beth sold t-shirts featuring the ‘Welcome to Mobile’ design. She then worked with Lucy Gafford, Executive Director of the Mobile Arts Council, to obtain the permits needed to bring the mural to life at the intersection of Dauphin and Scott.
