Update on MS teen who went missing yesterday on 4th of July. Prayers he is located!

Authorities are continuing to search for 18-year-old Nolan Xavier Wells, who was last seen around 3 p.m. Saturday, July 4, on Horn Island, according to Jackson County Sheriff John Ledbetter.

Officials clarified that Nolan was wearing blue swim trunks, sunglasses, and no shirt when he was last seen.

Anyone who spoke with Nolan on Horn Island Saturday and has not already contacted law enforcement is urged to call the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department at 228-769-3063. Investigators said even small details could help establish Nolan’s last known location.

Alabama Families: $7,000 Education Savings Accounts Become Available July 1

Starting July 1, approved Alabama families can begin accessing CHOOSE Act Education Savings Account (ESA) funds for the 2026 to 2027 school year. Eligible students enrolled in participating schools can receive $7,000, while eligible homeschool students can receive $2,000, up to $4,000 per family.

These funds can be used for approved educational expenses such as:
•Tuition and eligible school fees.
• Curriculum and textbooks.
• School supplies.
• Computers and educational technology.
• Approved tutoring and other qualified educational services.
