Midweek Message: Satan was not and is not a serpent. This is a false belief/understanding that a lot of us hold because this is what tradition has taught us. This however isn’t what the Bible teaches us.

To understand scripture better we have to understand various types of writings. Throughout our Bible many times you’ll come across imagery, similes and metaphors, all of these aren’t meant to be taken as literal, they are conveying a deeper message.

Satan’s mannerisms are of that of a serpent but he wasn’t a literal snake talking to Eve.
