Hey MBB family, I have a huge prayer request and personal request. My friend just lost her husband due to a motorcycle accident. Death is always hard but my heart is broken for her and what this next chapter will look like. She’s a stay at home mom who’s 25 years old. Unfortunately they were behind on bills due to him getting laid off right before Christmas and he just started working again a couple of weeks ago, so she had to move out with her two littles that are 2 and 3 years old as well as their fur babies. This past Saturday was the funeral and Sunday while finishing the move she fell and tore her meniscus or ACL. She’s now on crutches. Please pray for her and the family and if you could consider signing up for the meal train I created for her. Thank you so much in advance.

I hope you all have had a great weekend and are getting ready to start a great week!

If you signed up for the build in a couple of weeks, you should have received an email with the subject line "MBB- Church of the Island - Dauphin Island Build Oct 2025".

If not, I do not have you signed up. We still have 5 spots open and housing available if needed. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to join us, even if it's for a day or two. We would love to fellowship and serve together every chance possible.

In case you missed the first email. Here are the details regarding the build.

October Build
Location: Church of the Island
planted by Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, AL
901 Chaumont Ave, Dauphin Island, AL 36528

Dates: Oct 23rd - 25th
Thursday through Saturday (if needed)
Times: 8 AM - Dark

Scope of Work
1. Scab approx 20 16ft 2x4’s to secure trusses above the ceiling.
2. Install 2 attic access doors.
3. Install 2 gable vents.
4. Install 1/2 in plywood and batten strips to cover seams.
5. Approx 2,800 sf area.

Housing and food will be provided as usual.
The registration fee is $0

More prayer requests:

Many, many of you know Bettye Hinton Davis. Bettye has been a part of MBB for probably 20 years, or even longer. Bettye had breast cancer surgery yesterday (her second bout with breast cancer). She is home with minimal pain, so far. (They would have kept her longer but Mobile had severe storms yesterday and the hospital lost power. She, and other critical patients were transferred to another hospital under not the best situation and Bettye elected to be discharged.)

Please pray for Bettye's recovery, for the care she's receiving from her nurse, Gene, and that the doctor got every bit of that dreaded c word. I am hoping to get an update on Burben soon, and I will share what I hear with you. Please continue to lift up prayers for him.

And, Janet Rainer, who has been on several MBB trips, is on a mission trip to Africa. Please lift her in prayer also.

PRAYERS NEEDED:

Burben was taken to Providence Hospital last night because he was having trouble breathing. He was admitted for pneumonia in the left lung. There is some fluid around his heart, and he may have fluid overfill from not draining properly on the dialysis. He is in ICU in Room 520. Please be in prayer for Burben and the Sullins family.
