𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐖𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐔𝐋 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭!!
I don’t know about you gals but my cup was full by the end of Thursday evening's YogaFaith Encounter.
It was a treat to see faces that we haven’t seen in a while. Reunions are awesome! 🥳
Some of you tried it for the first time. How fun is that?! 🤩
Thirty-three of you showed up and shared yourselves with one another as well as the One that loves you most.
*THANKS to the hands that helped set up and welcome others! (It’s not easy walking in the dark to help place eye pillows during Savasana. Could you hear us drop some? 😬)
*THANKS to the hands that helped clean up. (Picking up candles… rolling up lights. Carrying boxes & bags of Mexican blankets to the car! The list could go on!)
*THANKS to Jenny Gauger for her amazing cupcakes (almost too pretty to eat.)
*THANKS to Mallory of Urban Grazings LLC for her charcuterie boards (also almost too pretty to eat!)
*THANKS to Rise Coffee and Tea for their part give-aways.
Next week we’ll be back to regular classes––Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at RiverTree Church and Thursday from 7:00 to 8:00 am online.
Now, let’s go out there with “happy socks” on our feet and “happy hearts” in our chest. The world needs what we get to experience on our mats.
Love you all…

It’s here!
Once a year we offer an Encounter. The time has come.
One definition of encounter is “to come face to face.”
I have several goals for an Encounter.
* I hope attendees walk away encouraged by the company of like-minded women.
* I hope attendees walk away empowered with tools to take better care of themselves (because they are SO busy caring for others.)
* But more than anything I hope that they leave with one moment, one memory that they can tuck away in which they came face to face with God. The One that is crazy in love with them.
THAT is what an Encounter means to me. And that is what Rooted Yoga is all about.
A place for rest.
A place for health.
A place to meet with Him.
It’s free. It’s tonight. I hope you come. (Mats are provided. You don’t need a thing but your lovely self!)

I rarely post about “yoga stuff” here but I wanted to share about a fun event that’s happening next week.
Every so often I host a YogaFaith Encounter. It’s an opportunity to check out Christ-centered yoga.
It’s free.
There’s food (thank you Mallory for yummy charcuterie boards from Urban Grazings LLC and Jenny for making oodles of cupcakes!)
There’s a mini workshop followed by a brief 30-minute, restful, yoga practice.
And there are give aways. There are gift bundles for two ambassadors this year and TEN drawings for other attendants. And look at the beautiful bracelets from our own YOGA FAITH instructor Mary Jensen Lanning💞
Did I mention it’s free?
Why do I do this? Because I believe in it. I think that some days the world is hard. I think we’re stressed. I think our bodies need a boost and our brains need a break. More than anything I believe it is good when we can slow down enough to spend time with Jesus because life. is. busy.
Come to RiverTree Church church next Thursday, February 1st. The north and south doors will open at 6PM. We start at 6:30. We’ll be done by 8.
Bring a friend or family member. It’s the perfect time to check it out! ❤️ 🧘🏼♀️ ✝️
(If you have questions feel free to message me.)

They say there is no hurt like church hurt. Unfortunately, that kind of experience can taint our expectations regarding God.
Perhaps the hurt may not have been a church. The hurt may have come from someone who professed Christianity, but their practice of it was lacking. If that is the case, we can receive a tender message from God at the end of our verse from Psalms 16.
“My choice is you, God, first and only. And now I find I’m YOUR choice!” [Emphasis mine.]
When we decide that we are going to choose God, it’s like turning a key into a room full of treasure.
We take a chance and say, "God, I may not understand doctrine. I may have a bad taste in my mouth about religion. But I’m making the decision to put my faith in YOU. This isn’t about anyone or anything else. It’s about me deciding to run to You.”
When we make that choice, it doesn’t change how much God loves us. God loves us before, during, and after our choices. But that one decision will have ripples in our life. Every day, every moment that we choose Him, we discover all the ways that we are His choice.
