The Mitchell area market is having a great first half of the year. Our local real estate market remains active and competitive compared to last year. Total active listings are up 11%, giving buyers more options, while new listings have increased 5%, showing continued seller confidence. Homes going under contract are also slightly higher (+2%), indicating steady buyer demand.

Although the number of homes sold is down 3%, overall sold volume has increased 5%, and the average sale price is up 9% to $252,217. This tells us that well-priced homes are still attracting strong offers and values continue to appreciate year over year.

Overall, the market is showing healthy activity with rising prices, stable demand, and more inventory than last year, creating opportunities for both buyers and sellers.
