Archives and Special Collections has two new archival collections focused on Montana's railroad history. George Jacob "Jay" Lentzner was a well-known railroad photographer, historian and enthusiast. 🚂✨
The Jay Lentzner Railroad Photographs includes thousands of photographs of Milwaukee Road and Montana Rail Link power and rolling stock operating in Montana.
The Jay Lentzner Collection of Milwaukee Road Western Extension Records includes maps, blueprints, diagrams and other records of the Milwaukee Road's construction and operation of its Pacific Extension, or "Lines West."
