Meet Some of the Cyclists Riding America’s Best Bike Routes This Summer - Adventure Cycling Association 06/30/2026

Are y'all ready to meet some of the riders tackling America's most epic routes this summer including the TransAmerica Trail, the Great Divide, and our brand new Golden Gravel Trail? From a father-daughter duo on their first bikepacking trip to a crew celebrating a birthday with a ride to a distillery, there's a story for every kind of rider.

Some riders have opted into Dot tracking, so you can follow their progress live, right down to the weather they're riding through.

Matchy matchy energy on the Maine coast! 🦞⚓️ Our Maine Coast & Lighthouses tour a few weeks ago brought us coordinated jerseys (hello, twin Maine soccer jerseys, a sneaky Habs fan, and a couple of Seattle reps for good measure), a father-daughter-and-cousin crew riding together that melted tour leader Bennie's heart, and a very well-earned plate of oysters at the end of the day. The little fun moments are what our tours are all about!

Bicycle travel, whether touring or bikepacking, isn't built on a single location or experience. That's why last year we launched Adventure Cycling is Everywhere, a story gathering campaign celebrating the living, breathing movement that exists wherever cyclists dare to explore.

We've already started featuring stories from riders just like you, and we want to hear about yours too!

Maybe it's a ride that challenged you and changed you. Maybe it's a connection you only made because you were on the road. Maybe it's a place you still think about, or the moment that first got you hooked on bike travel. Whatever it is, we'd love to hear about it.
