Meet our summer Transportation Options Intern, Finn Johnson!
If you live on Mountain Line's new Route 10, keep an eye out for postcards and brochures to show up in your mailbox, with opportunities to request transportation resources and talk directly with Finn! ...
"Hi there, my name is Finn Johnson and I’m excited to be joining the Missoula in Motion team this summer to support Missoulians in accessing transportation options.
I am currently a Master's student in Environmental Philosophy at the University of Montana. A large part of my focus in the program is on bridging theoretical understandings with practical solutions to problems like environmental degradation, climate change and ultimately work toward community resilience.
This summer, I’ll be doing individualized outreach to Missoulians in the Franklin to the Fort neighborhood. The goal is to help folks feel comfortable using a variety of transportation options and increase awareness around the new Mountain Line Route 10. Missoula is so lucky to have free, convenient and accessible public transit, and I am looking forward to helping folks access this fantastic service. "

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR FRIENDS AT Mountain Line!!
Mountain Line was named the best transit system of its size in the country by the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) this month, celebrating agency achievements over the past year. The award was presented to Mountain Line representatives at the CTAA Expo on May 13, with bus operator Bryan Ursery, who has worked at Mountain Line for more than two decades, accepting the award on the agency's behalf.
“Mountain Line isn’t just a transportation service; it’s part of Missoula’s economic infrastructure,” Bauer said. “When we talk about Missoula as a competitive, forward-looking community, a strong, visible transit system like Mountain Line is part of that story.”
In July, Mountain Line will launch new routes and frequency improvements as part of a cost-neutral system update, reflecting evolving ridership numbers and extensive community input about service needs around Missoula.
