Summer is in full swing, and for many Montana families that means camping trips, days at the lake, river floats, bonfires, rodeos, fairs, and making memories together.

As teens spend more time with friends this summer, it's important to keep the conversation going about the dangers of fentanyl. Illegal fentanyl has been found in he**in, co***ne, methamphetamine, and counterfeit pills made to look like prescription medications such as OxyContin®, Percocet®, Vicodin®, Xanax®, and Adderall®. The safest choice is to avoid experimenting with drugs and only take medications that have been prescribed specifically to you.

A simple conversation today can make a lasting difference tomorrow. Talk with your teen about making safe choices, trusting their instincts, and looking out for their friends.
