For the second time this winter, Big Bend has received snow! Between yesterday afternoon and last night, about 4 inches of snow fell at Panther Junction, and 1 inch accumulated at Rio Grande Village.

Road conditions update as of 12:00 pm: The road to the Chisos Basin is now open. Depending on conditions this evening, there is a possibility that it may close again overnight.
Most paved roads in the park are passable, but it is important to drive slowly, especially on portions of Ross Maxwell Scenic Drive where ice is still present.
