As your County Commissioner, one of my responsibilities is to appoint residents to over 30 boards, commissions, and task forces.

I am proud to have appointed Paul Lyons, a former Overland Park City Councilmember, and Dr. Richard Hellman to the JOCO Commission on Aging. Both individuals have extensive public service backgrounds. The Commission serves as a voice for the needs of older county residents and provides services to ensure that those needs are met at the local, state, and federal levels. Meetings are held monthly, and the public is welcome to attend.
