Mission High School-Mission CISD

Our MHS Cosmetology students truly made us proud today! ❤️🦅 Their dedication, teamwork, and hospitality shined as they helped with setup, our mini coffee bar, morning treats, and meeting and greeting over 50 cosmetology educators and CTE administrators from across the Rio Grande Valley at the TDLR Download Forum!

Our students also had the Incredible opportunity to participate in an exclusive Q&A session with experts from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). This unique learning experience allowed them to gain firsthand insight into the cosmetology industry, better understand professional expectations, and connect classroom learning with their future careers. An invaluable experience for our future beauty professionals! ❤️✨

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests for your patience, kindness, participation, and collaboration!

A special thank-you to our wonderful TDLR experts, Marco Rodriguez and Michael Wilson,*for generously sharing their time, knowledge, and expertise! We also extend our appreciation to our MHS Library crew for lending us our beautiful library for this wonderful event and our MHS administrators for their support in making this event possible.

It was truly our pleasure to welcome everyone to our campus!
Thank you all for making today a success! ❤️🦅🫶

🇺🇸🎤 LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM! 🦅👏

Three fortunate students had the incredible opportunity to attend the historic **Mission, Texas Mayoral Candidates Forum**, turning this week’s hands-on lesson into an unforgettable learning experience!

For our students studying and competing in communication and public speaking events, this was a chance to see their classroom lessons come to life! From observing public speaking techniques to experiencing civic engagement firsthand, they gained valuable insight into the power of effective communication and connecting with an audience.

Experiences like these inspire critical thinking, build confidence, and help prepare our students for future leadership opportunities. 🌟

A huge thank-you to those who made this opportunity possible! Sometimes, the greatest lessons happen outside the classroom, and these Eagles got to experience that firsthand! 🦅💙

ONE TEAM. ONE MISSION. BUILDING TOMORROW’S LEADERS! 💪🎤
