Mission accomplished! 🎓👨🏼‍🎓

Two years ago, I made the decision to go back to school and earn my Master’s degree alongside my fried and co-anchor Constance Jones . Yesterday, we both walked across the stage at Florida Internation University, and made it official.

27 years after earning my bachelor’s degree from Florida International University I now have a Master of Science in Global Strategic Communications, along with a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Consensus Building . 🐾

This has been one of my goals for a long time, and seeing it become a reality is very special. I’ll admit, balancing school, early morning alarms to anchor the news at NBC 6 , and a busy family life wasn’t easy - but every late night and super early morning was worth it. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family - my wife Real Life with Brookie Brooke, my sons Lucas, Dominic, and Michael, and my mom Pat Rolando Anderson❤️

I’m also deeply grateful to work for NBCUniversal , a company that believes in lifelong learning and supported me by covering the cost of this degree… What a gift!

I are both graduating on Monday from Florida International University with a Master of Science in Global Strategic Communications…and what a journey it's been.
For the past two years, we've been balancing early mornings as anchors on NBC 6 Today with late nights as grad students at FIU ... and we finally made it! Huge thanks to my wife Real Life with Brookie Brooke for being so supportive and all the extra work she did at home so I could focus on my studies ❤️ Paws Up! 🐾
