Today we proudly celebrate the retirement of Battalion Chief Mickey Tofexis, who has dedicated 21 years to protecting our community with courage, compassion, and commitment. We thank him for his decades of service and will miss him greatly. Enjoy your well-earned retirement, you will always be part of our fire family.

This April, we’re proud to highlight Rudy Valdes, who has dedicated 24 years of service to Miramar Fire Rescue. What Rudy loves most about his job is being productive, tackling tasks, staying busy, and seeing real results from his hard work. Outside of work, Rudy enjoys traveling, and one of his favorite destinations has been Spain.
