Ah, the eternal wedding day rivalry: photographer vs. videographer. One’s trying to capture the shot, the other’s already standing in it.

Guests never know there’s sometimes a secret war carrying on between photo and video 😭🤣🤣

Sometimes you’re not on the same page, and sometimes you are — but the reality is, communication is so key.

Normally, a quick chat before the ceremony about shooting styles, key angles, and movement plans can save everyone a ton of stress (and awkward eye contact). Key word being NORMALLY… because sometimes that doesn’t help either — especially when you’re both hyper-focused on getting “the shot” for the client.

That should be the main point: the client. That’s what we’re all here for, and pleasing the client is beneficial for both of us. When collaboration clicks, it’s pure magic.

HOWEVER… at the end of the day, some personalities just don’t click 🤷🏾‍♂️ — and that’s okay.

This is usually when my petty side comes out and I keep these photos to gently remind the client about the benefits of booking photo and video from the same team 🙃

You either get this scenario, or the client ends up relaying the importance of working together. Win-win 🤣
