New post is up and honestly? This one felt good to write.

There's this pressure to document everything live — to prove you were somewhere by sharing it in real time. I've been thinking about that a lot lately, especially with a trip coming up.

Beau and I are headed to the east coast to see family, and I'm going to try something a little radical: actually being there.

The Vikings weren't just warriors. They were travelers. The journey wasn't content — it was the point.

Going through old images this week and found a whole set from 2011 I thought I'd thinned out.

Turns out I hadn't. And honestly? I'm glad.

Walking through these reminded me of so much — using a light colored blanket as a reflector, how simply moving yourself or your subject can completely transform an image, and oh... gold reflectors. Chef's kiss.
