Atypical Canine Infectious Respiratory Disease (aCIRD):
There are many reports of canine respiratory infections across the U.S. At this time there is limited information and multiple causes of respiratory disease in dogs.

Key reminders to prevent respiratory infections among dogs:
Try to avoid dog congregation areas, such as doggy day-cares, if your dog is at risk for serious infections (i.e. elderly, very young, pregnant, immunocompromised, underlying heart or respiratory tract disease and Brachycephalic breeds).
Consider vaccination for Bordetella bronchiseptica/parainfluenza virus

Does your dog hate Interceptor Plus? So does Lucky, but we have a trick for you! We all know that ICP has the best protection around (tapeworms, eewww!) but we have heard not all dogs find it tasty. Our Elanco rep told us to put it in the freezer, which I did for about 15 minutes. He spit it right out as usual. I coated it in canned food and peanut butter. Same result. This time I left the slimy peanut butter on it and set it in the freezer for about a half hour, when I offered it again he loved it!!!!! No additional coatings needed! Try it and Lucky and I hope you are successful! Rachel
