Adath Jeshurun Congregation

The Annual Meeting is one of the few times during the year we gather as congregants, board members, and clergy all in one room. The meeting was a night of community, reflection, celebration, and joy. We were thrilled to welcomed new members to our board who will help build the future of our congregation, and express gratitude for those who have continued to do such amazing work.

We also had the honor of presenting Jeannie Gilfix with the Shem Tov Award, an honor that is presented to individuals who have had a profound impact on the life of our community. Mazel tov, Jeannie!

Last Friday, we welcomed Ann Miller as Adath's new president in our 142nd Annual Meeting. In reflecting on the legacy she inherits and the community she now leads, Ann shared this story:

“Last week, I invited nearly twenty Adath and B’nai Emet past presidents to my home for cookies and coffee - in exchange for their counsel - as I step into the role they once held with such care. It quickly became clear to me by the fact that nearly all attended that Adath mattered greatly to them. They generously shared their wisdom, their proudest legacy, and their hopes and dreams for the future of this special home we call Adath."
