Well… somehow Gasket is 20.

That’s 20 years of making things, fixing things, rethinking things, laughing through the chaos, and occasionally staring at a screen like it personally offended us.

We’ve been lucky to work with incredible clients, collaborators, artists, partners, and friends who helped shape Gasket into what it is today — a studio built on story, craft, curiosity, and a real love of making good work with good people.

A lot has changed over the years. Tools changed. Trends changed. The industry changed. Haircuts definitely changed.

But the heart of it stayed the same: keep creating, keep evolving, keep showing up, and make work that actually means something.

So yes… happy birthday to us.
And truly, thank you to everyone who’s been part of the ride.

We’re excited to welcome Yellowshed to Engines Running.

The creative collaboration of Soyeon Kim and Todd Hemker, Yellowshed brings a beautifully crafted voice shaped by years of work across animation, illustration, design, and film.

Their work carries a rare mix of artistry, storytelling, and character — playful when it needs to be, emotionally rich when it matters, and always thoughtfully made.

As Engines Running continues to grow, we’re building a creative roster of directors and artists with distinct points of view and the experience to help shape memorable work for brands, agencies, and stories that deserve something special.

We’re all a product of our environment.

Mine just happens to include stop-motion dreams, vintage snowmobiles, too many toys, and the belief that Santa deserves something better than cookies and milk.

This started as a short film.
Then it became a tradition.
And this year… it became an actual action figure.

Introducing the Winter Collection—for kids 21 years and up.
Complete with boots, jacket, wooden keg, and a little reminder that joy doesn’t expire after December 25th.

Long live bringing dream to life!
