Have you had a chance to stop by and see TWO-SPIRIT STORIES? This exhibition showcases the work of emerging Two-Spirit Native artists residing in Minnesota!

Serving as Curator for Community Collaboration, Penny Kagigebi, (White Earth Ojibwe), invited Minnesota artists from tribes across the Upper Midwest to tell their stories. What is your story?

The result is an exhibition celebrating traditional and contemporary handwork. The exhibiting artists affirm Indigenous and q***r identity using themes of ceremony, community, and ancestral tradition.

In an interview with MPR last month, Penny shared: โ€œWhat I feel like they really brought forward was the idea that by making art, they're healing not just themselves, but also their community.โ€

"My primary work is always with Two Spirit and Native q***r artists to affirm them and to celebrate the community. And being able to work together and do something side by side is a way to build relationships and to provide grounding in identity.โ€

Visit this beautiful exhibition at Textile Center through July 11, 2026.
