This is me letting the proverbial cat outta the bag as far as a new series of work I’m debuting at the NE Social restaurant this weekend. This series, called God Complex, is extremely personal as it features the many many churches of NE (these are just the first three).

As my mother was a church cantor, choir director and soloist in the Catholic Church, I grew up in many of, if not most, of the churches in NE. In lieu of day care and baby sitters, I tagged along to weekend masses, weddings and funerals, playing and drawing in the many choir lofts of NE mpls.

This experience influenced my love of art, architecture and seeking the transcendent through both and has heavily influenced much of my painting and the Rogue Buddha Gallery.

I hope you get a chance to see them during Art a whirl this weekend! And of course, we’ll be open in the gallery all weekend as well!
