It has been an honor to serve on the MCAD Auction Committee this year. It has traditionally been an in-person celebration. But, with recent events the MCAD staff, auction committee, artists, and collaborators acted quickly to reimagine the event in a virtual format. With this year’s unique economic challenges, our local art students need your support more than ever. Please consider attending this virtual event and invite your friends; near and far! : I have spent the past few days alongside my Minneapolis community mourning, reflecting, cleaning up our city, and volunteering in service to neighbors in need. I stand firmly with those in the push for justice and change. The time is NOW.

Like many, I will be taking today to listen and connect. I will also be reflecting on what my role is in the systemic problem and will be searching for ways to positively impact those spaces. Black Lives Matter.
