It is the way we guide students through a frustrating moment that matters most

Challenges are a part of life

When we are challenged, we have the opportunity to grow

In that frustrating moment, we have the opportunity to pause and notice what lesson is being presented

I have noticed kids really embracing this lesson in class

They are viewing challenges in a positive way that empowers them & their friends towards growth ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฉ

Tapping can be a simple way kids can calm their busy mind

๐Ÿน move to the eyebrows / temples / cheeks / chin
๐Ÿน then to collarbone / heart

The practice of Cultivating Awareness involves checking in with ourselves, recognizing how we are feeling and choosing an activity that honors what our mind and body needs in the moment.

This is one of the most important skills to practice as it is the basis for self-care & so empowering.

When we provide various opportunities, kids are empowered to make choices that best serve them. We might direct our energy in ways that are physically demanding like a handstand or something relaxing and restorative like grabbing a meditation bottle and resting our legs up the wall.

We all have different needs and our moods shift so the goal is for each child to come to know themselves and honor their unique nature through this practice.
