With deep gratitude for our friend and colleague, we announce the upcoming retirement of Nystrom Chief Financial Officer Gretchen J. Kelly, effective fall 2026.

Gretchen’s 13-year tenure has been defined by exceptional leadership that extends far beyond the finance function. As a valued member of our executive team, Gretchen’s had a lasting impact across the Nystrom enterprise, with our customers and in the construction industry. In addition to her steady expertise managing company finances, profitability and risk, Gretchen led an ERP implementation, banking transition and played a key role in several acquisitions.

Gretchen has been active in the Construction Financial Management Association and chaired the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professionals. She was recognized as a Minneapolis–St. Paul Business Journal 2023 CFO of the Year honoree.

In the coming months, we’ll work closely with Gretchen to identify her successor and ensure a thoughtful transition.
