Purpose and Description
The Commercial Lawn care and Residential Tractors Operators primary task is to in the summer months work on a Commercial/Residential Lawn Crew while in the winter operate a tractor on our residential snow removal crew. This is a full-time year-round position.

Responsibilities

Summer
The individual will have a wide range of responsibilities in the summer including but not limited to:
 Clean Ups – the individual will be in charge of or on a crew that does spring and fall clean ups..

 Weekly Lawn Maintenance – Individual will be in charge of or on a crew that does weekly lawn maintenance on properties. This includes mowing the properties with commercial sized mowers, trimming the properties, and blowing off all hard surfaces. Routes for the day will be given to the individual every morning via a tablet.

Winter
o The individual will be present and available for all snowfalls. This includes nights, days, weekends, holidays, etc. The responsibilities in the winter include but are not limited to:
 Snowfalls – the individual will be on time or early to every snow event.
• Driveways -Driveways (75-125) will be completed in the order provided on the tablet given to the individual. Tractors are traced and the driver will be available via cell phone to make sure no driveways have been missed. If we are short handed for a plow individual will help out on another route to ensure it gets done in a timely manner.
• Ridges – After completing the initial plow(s) individual will be responsible for going back through their route (and helping others if need be). This may be done immediately following the initial plow. This may be completed hours after the initial plow if we need to wait on the city to get the roads plowed.
 Non Snowfalls – Individual might be asked to help wash, clean, and fuel tractors the day after snowfalls (or the following Monday if snowfall is on a Friday or Saturday).
Equipment Operation
• Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner..
• Follow all MNDOT and City road laws.
• Perform visual equipment inspections.
• Complete minor mechanical tasks
• Ensure cab cleanliness after your shift is complete. This includes,


Operations and Communication
• Reporting mechanical / maintenance issues to manager
• Be available 24/7 (Winter) (We do allow time off)
• Reply to all communication as soon as possible.
• Relaying other pertinent information to the appropriate party such as damage to property or obstructions that would not let you complete your job
• Assist other departments when necessary.
• Stake driveways on route, report anything unusual on the property that would prevent us from be able to provide service (trees, permanently placed items in driveway, fire hydrants, etc.) (Winter)
