Plastik Boxes

September 9th, 2024 was a day that I will never forget. Thank you to everyone that came out to see Brothertiger and us, and to those who came up to me and said such kind things.

I also want to thank you for years of support. Efren and I met in 2014 while playing on the same bill at the Kitty Cat Klub in Dinkytown and we started writing together as Plastik Boxes in 2018.

In our time together, Efren taught me so much about creating art, how to not overthink everything, how to commit to creative decisions without hesitation, and how to authentically create art that is true to myself and my soul.

I genuinely don’t know how I managed to write music before I met him. I can’t even remember what my process was. I will never look at art and human expression the same way again, and I wish so badly that we could see how Plastik Boxes would continue to evolve.

This was the last live show you’ll see of Plastik Boxes, but I may decide to do some livestreams in the future.

I am creating music for my solo project, Greg Online, so if you are a fan of Plastik Boxes you might enjoy it. In many ways it’s going to be different than Plastik Boxes, so it may not be your cup of tea. If this is the case, then I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for jiving with Plastik Boxes through the years.

There is still Plastik Boxes merch on plastikboxes.com, including CD’s, cassettes, and shirts. As of this writing, I don’t have plans to release new Plastik Boxes merchandise, so once this stock is gone, it’s gone.

Monday, September 9th will be a huge night. Not only will you get to see the one and only perform live, this will be the last time you’ll see a Plastik Boxes live set. It will be an absolutely beautiful show.
